April 2004, 17:58Redshift wrong A scientist named Halton Alp has been saying for years that redshift, the technique used to measure the distance of stars from Earth, is caused by more than just velocity. So, quasars that look like they are part of a cluster, are part of it, whereas orthodox scientists say it only looks like belongs there, but is actually twice as far away. He has been shunned by orthodox science:
But if he is right it means two things: - Big Bang is wrong, and the universe is not expanding - Some space nasties are much closer to Earth than stated
